Observations 10 Sept 2003: ------------------____---------- Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System), 1004x low light level CCD surveillance camera (0.003 lux) with 145mm focal length f/2.5 lens with focal length reducer, field of view 1.89 x 1.43 degrees. Conditions terrible - 90% cloud Site 0433 : Longitude 18.51294 deg East, Latitude 33.94058 deg S, Elevation 10 metres - situated in Pinelands (Cape Town), South Africa 99999 03 600A 0433 T 20030910184909900 17 15 2128269-021111 39 S+060 05 99999 03 600A 0433 T 20030910184921600 17 15 2133261-015211 39 S+060 05 99999 03 600A 0433 T 20030910185002200 17 15 2150186-004916 39 S+060 05 Notes: (1) Above is an unknown sighted by accident. It looked interesting ( bright and slow moving) so I managed to get three positions before it ran back into solid cloud. Rough calculations indicate an object with an inclination of around 27 degrees ( if circular), and range about 3000 kilometres and standard magnitude around +04.5. I can find no match in the ALLDAT.ZIP file dated 06 Sept.
