Just a few hours after the latest Soyuz launched I got a quick glimpse of ISS during a low elevation pass. http://img160.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-5479/loc948/49185_ISS10Octcomp_122_948lo.jpg The station is 650 km downrange , approx 30 degrees elevation. (Apologies for using Imagevenue , my ISP (Orange) is acting up again.) I also imaged UARS a few minutes later.Although it was difficult to make out any specific detail , the body of the satellite looked decidedly copper in colour.
