Here is another one of my futile attemps to find out about Metop flares when
most likely everyone suitable is under clouds!

    All times are in UTC.

On 24-OCT-06 flares could be expected close to a line from 20 km West of
St.Petersburg, Russia (18:16:58) to 20 km West of Rovaniemi, Finnland
    (18:19:12).
From Reykjavik, Iceland (do we have anyone out there?) check at 21:41:02.

On 25-OCT-06 the West of Sjaeland, Denmark should expect a flare around
19:35:45 and look along a line from Skien, Norway (19:36:56) to Kristiansund
    (19:38:18).

In all those places the flares would be toward the North or NorthWest, 30 to
    34 deg elevation.

Reykjavik should also see another flare (this time from one of the deployed
ASCAT antennae) at 21:16:56 UTC on 25-OCT-06. Look toward the East, 63 deg
    elevation.
