Hi all, In imagery aiming for USA 202 (Mentor 4) I have another nearby geosat flaring brightly between 21:51:32-21:51:42 UTC (Nov 28). On the image it is slightly brighter than the nearby USA 202 (which is ~mag. +8). An image taken 30 seconds later does not show it, so the flashes are short (another image taken 3.5 minutes earlier does show it, but very faint). Position is in very close agreement with Galaxy 8 (97-078A): 25086 97 078A 4353 G 20101128215132300 17 75 0537012-046480 56 It yielded a pretty picture with both geosats hovering near the Orion nebula (will post image URL later). - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
