Notes:
(1) Sole purpose of observing was to recover 96-038A USA 125 which was
achieved. The satellite was running almost 4 minutes late
(2) Was unable to track a longer arc as my computer power supply decided
to shut down so could no longer drive the camera mount - at this stage
the reason is not known - got too hot?? Anyway I think its time I
upgraded the pc -its a 586 90 Mhz Nexgen which hasnt even got a co-
processor installed. It will be replaced with a 300 Mhz machine
currently
doing nothing. Its time it earned its keep.
Correction:
(1) Mike McCants pointed out that my observation of ATEX on the 24th Nov
is incorrect. The satellite observed was IRIDIUM 53. This error I dont
feel bad about - its not my fault Iridium 53 decided to cross my sky on
a track very close to that of ATEX and came into the field of view
about 20 sec before ATEX. Time these satellites carried identification!
Okay- now back to measuring some of 24 Novembers observations.
Cheers
Greg
