Hi Kurt,
> I've just realised I made a mistake in the date of the unknown bright
flasher.
> It was actually May 8 instead of 9:
> Location: 51ø 10' N 2ø 57' E
> Time: May 8th 1999, around 21 h 53 m UT
> It went from West to East, almost through zenith, through bowl of UMa.
> Flashing, a secondary maximum, period 4.08, magnitude: about 2
With the corrected date, the ID is an easy one: Globalstar 45 R/B
(99019E, #25680). If you have an accurate timing measurement
(which it appears that you do) be sure to send a report to PPAS
(Kurt Jonckheere). --Rob
