Decay over Kiel, Germany?

Around 20:26 UTC, I observed a bright object at 30-35 deg altitude,
145-155 degree azimuth. My position was 54.32N 10.13E. The object was
observed for about 3-5 seconds and showed irregular brightness variations=
..
At the end, the brightness faded quickly to invisibility. Color was
yellowish/reddish, I think it was more than only a point.
I don't know whether it was visible before, it just caught my attention
while I was riding my bike. I hesitate to estimate the magnitude, but
would guess that it was brighter than full moon. (How does one compare
near-pointlike objects with objects covering some space?)
