What these numbers mean: http://www.satobs.org/position/IODformat.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Observing under abominable conditions with many clouds, trying to do a planar search for USA 161 (in vain, but given the conditions, I could have easily missed any object, especially early in the window). USA 224 produces a naked eye flash and next was captured on one quite fogged image, with only the starting point of the trail well-defined enough to measure it. 40 seconds before this, in the same fog, a UNID was captured. I did not see it visually, but encountered the faint trail on the image. Only one trail end was measurable, and is reported here assuming an east-west movement. The UNID is *not* USA 161 as the trail direction is wrong (almost perpendicular to what it should be). Trail length suggests a LEO, but cannot identify it with any object.... - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
