A contribution the investigation of "flares" from
the GRACE satellites.  I queried Mark Fischer of the Texas Space Grants 
consortium, the hosts of the GRACE wenb page. When the satellites
are in what they call SAFE mode, the yaw is not controlled. Yaw is motion
in a horizontal plane, so I dont see how this might cause some specular 
reflections myself.
