On Sept 24, I had noticed a faint unid, leading Intelsat 16. https://polaris.slooh.com/teide/2/widefield/2017/09/24/0210_220900m043500/220900m043500_20170924_020933_0_avy1pp_l.png I went looking for it last night, and it now trailing Intelsat 34. https://polaris.slooh.com/teide/2/widefield/2017/09/29/0205_223000m044000/223000m044000_20170929_020420_0_ydn2gu_l.png So it's got a slow drift rate. Being so faint, I think it's a peice of debris.
