That worked?? I just typed in a tidbit about Astrometry.net hating all my previous video cameras, and a desire to make it work, so
this is great news.. 

 

Could you explain how you did it??

Another first for me - I viewed Derek's OFEQ 11 wmv, took a few screenshots, convert them at Astrometry.net to fits, and simply read
the coordinates in SAOimage DS9 ! Quite fast and easy.

It might work for faint stars/small fields also (they have 0.1 degrees FOV as minimum in the dropdown)

Satellites are simple. Reducing them with ObsReduce - not so much. Without a new reduction method for stars to mag 17, I have just
made things vastly more difficult..
