    The re-entry coordinates are not far from American Samoa. By the 
    description, this is the beginning of atmospheric interface (?) so 
    presumably if anyone in American Samoa had been looking towards 
    the northeast, rather low in the sky, they would have seen the plasma 
    trail. Debris would have fallen hundreds of miles towards the 
    northeast from there. What was the sky cover like at that time? 
    Was it clear over the islands?
