Hi Jim, I think your culprit might be the variable star V Peg, which is located at R.A. 22h01m02.6s and decl. +06°07'11" (J2000.0). It is a Mira-type variable (Vmag= 7.0-15.0) with a period of 302.35 days. According to the AAVSO database it is currently at mv= 8.7, see http://www.aavso.org/ql/results?auid=000-BCP-780 I could not find any artificial satellite near your position, and the brightest asteroid within a 2 degree radius was (4254) Kamel at mag 15.2. > I checked for Geosats, (the object was > stationary), and saw none.
