One of the best ISS passes I've seen in the last couple months was a near
vertical pass very shortly after sunset, maybe 10 minutes after sunset. I
was surprised at how bright and visible ISS was in such a bright sky and I
was able to follow it almost down to the horizon, it was so close to sunset.
That was the coolest part of the observation, seeing it so low in the sky.
It was just about the only thing I could see in the sky at the time too.

    Jim.
