    Just a note that the main group is actually brighest about 60 deg east of where you saw the AMCs. They are "weird" in that they flare 60 deg west of shadow entry. I think Ed Cannon has a old post on See-Sat-L if you care to search for it. I was able to see several geosats starting to flare over at the "normal" area in eastern Aquarius - will post when I can get to my data.
