For some time now ISS status reports have indicated a deorbit time of 9:12
p.m. EDT on the 29th for the deorbit of the ATV stating that this is a
nighttime entry for observation from two planes.

     for example http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewsr.html?pid=29294

However it has been stated that the de-orbit will take place in the South
Pacific and the indications are that it will be northeast of here, in the
    vicinity of Tahiti:

This site quotes best viewing time as early morning on Sep 29.

However it will be mid-afternoon in the South Pacific.at 2112 EDT (0912
    UTC.)

Can anyone assist to reconcile this information?

    Thanks
    Robert
