    	The BBC has been reporting a "meteorite" crashing to Earth,
    making a crater that is spewing toxic gasses that have made hundreds
    sick. Somehow I find it unlikely that a real meteorite would do that.
    Any chance this was a manmade object re-entering?
    
    	My guess is that the bolide has nothing to do with the crater.
    Or, that even if it does, the noxious gasses are of earthly origin, not
    from the meteorite.
