I can see Intelsat 1R in a twilight sky

I had aimed at Intelsat 1R before turning off the power to the observing system this morning.

That way I would be pointed at it, and ready to observe it tonight.

Well the sky is just getting dark, and yet I can clearly see Intelsat 1R ( 26608 ) on the tv
screen. It's mag 8 are brighter.
