Watched for flaring geosats low in east on a perfect clear night, but none seen in 12x70 binoculars (9 mag limit, even in city, due to exceptionally clear skies). Watched until 3:00 UT. OT saw Mercury naked eye very low in west after finding it in same binocs. 07-32 B APT was easy naked eye. Hope Kevin has or will see it soon. 28646 05 016A 8336 E 20070912012318790 17 25 2315368+280956 87 S 25725 99 023B 8336 E 20070912013748150 17 25 1921629-185742 48 R 25725 99 023B 8336 E 20070912013813550 17 25 1947177-202157 48 R 28537 05 004A 8336 E 20070912014056710 17 25 2031535+273654 38 S 28537 05 004A 8336 E 20070912014106090 17 25 2039800+300420 28 S 28541 05 004C 8336 E 20070912014111280 17 25 2041401+291998 37 S 25724 99 023A 8336 E 20070912015646820 17 25 2104079-054939 37 S 26473 00 047A 8336 E 20070912020332550 17 25 2246071+624839 28 S 26473 00 047A 8336 E 20070912020401570 17 25 2231501+492234 18 S 26473 00 047A 8336 E 20070912020502320 17 25 2220204+210193 18 S PPAS: Designtn Date Time Obsr Durtn Acc Num Per Remarks 83-113 A 07-09-12 01:11:54 BY F 3 Note 1 07- 32 B 07-09-12 02:17:25 BY S 4 1X 86- 24 A 07-09-12 02:20:48 BY F 3 1X Note 3 85- 71 A 07-09-12 02:40:05 BY S 7 75- 12 B 07-09-12 01:37:26 BY S 7 83- 22 A 07-09-12 01:54:06 BY F 4 Note 2 Notes: 1) Only 2 flashes seen, otherwise steady 2) 2 flashes but then lost in trees 3) Obvious naked eye flare at zenith, then tracked in 12x70s S at 7 mag Brad Young TULSA 1 COSPAR 8336 36.1397N, 95.9838W, 205m ASL ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
