Spacenet 2 (15385, 84-114A) was flashing rather brilliantly last night. I watched for over half an hour between 4:30 and 5:06 UTC. The flash period has increased from 96.4 to 102.34 since Ed last reported on it (in PPAS format) in December of 2002. I don't know when it began flashing, as it was already flashing brightly at 4:30 when I looked for it, and was still rather bright at 5:06. One thing that I noted was that alternate flashes were not of equal brightness, but about a magnitude different. I'd estimate that the brightest flash was close to mag. 4. More info on its flash behavior can be found in a couple of Ed's previous posts. http://www.satobs.org/seesat/Dec-2002/0203.html http://www.satobs.org/seesat/Jan-2003/0051.html Steve L. 33.820, -118.316 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
