south pole iridium flare marathon

    back in august (the third) there was a thread started  by tom wagner of iowa 
    regarding the late-august marathon of -8 magnitude iridium flares due to 
    occur over the south pole research station "Amundsen-Scott."
    
    I'm curious as to if anything came out of that,  I was looking forward to 
    seeing the video (and seeing it rightfully given a berth on NASA's APOD.)
