While at a star Party last weekend, I was trying to observe Neptune and saw a satellite drift by. It was flaring every seconds to the best estimate I could come up with. I used my program to track it down and discovered that it was Galaxy 1. Checked with Guide 8 and data is the same. I estimated the flares to be around 11 to 12 mag with the satellite sometimes seen at an estimate of 16 mag in my 16" f5 scope. I tracked it for closed to 5 degrees.
