Went out to look at IR34 this evening as predicted by H-A. Was
expecting a nice -7 flare. As I watched there was a very quick
(for an Iridium) bright flare lasting maybe 3 seconds tops from
start to finish. As I sat there thinking 'that was an awfully
quick flare', another flare appeared very close to the same
position. This one occured in the normal fashion. Realizing
I just saw two sats flaring I figured one must be an inactive
or tumbler. Checking TLE's I found IR98? to be in the vicinity.

Now the sad part. I would have had a digital picture of this
double flare if I hadn't lost track of time and had the camera
set up in time. Let the butt kicking commence!!! :(

    "Great heavens! That's a laser!"
"Yes, Dr. Scott. A laser capable of emitting a beam of pure antimatter."
