ISS and Progresses

As expected, we saw the "old" Progress (27454) pass at about
2002 Sep 28/23:33 UTC through lower Aquila (2nd magnitude) and western
    Pegasus (magnitude near zero).

Then, also as expected, ISS made a very bright pass almost overhead.

What was unexpected was an object 30 seconds behind ISS, in apparently
the same path, passing near Deneb at 2002 Sep 28/23:58.7 UTC at which
time it resembled Deneb in brightness (say, mag +1.3).

I thought the new Progress was very close to ISS by now ... too close
to easily see separately. Did it maneuver in the past few hours?

    Clear and dark skies!
