    Very fascinating thread.
    
    The only "large" boosters other the Saturn (and I know that thishas been 
    touched on) would be Centaur and Agena.  I dont think that the 
    Surveyor/Lunar orbiter/Ranger Agena/Centaurs impacted the Moon.  There would 
    also be Centaurs/Agena's from the Mariner series.
    
    I am pretty sure you have nailed it that its an SIVB (I think that the Agena 
    and Centaur would be to small) but....
