Here are my observations from the evening of 2002 September 21. After more or less continuous stratocumulus day and night since September 13, there were some breaks in the cloud. 83-8F and H were visible in small gaps in the cloud - the timing of H is a bit uncertain. 96-72A left eclipse high in the east, and I observed it through thin cloud. Note that as perigee moves south towards us, the point of eclipse is moving rapidly N, and it won't be visible again from this latitude until early March, 2003. David.
