Hi all, When I was stationed at Vandenberg from June 1984 to March 1987, I saw several launches of the Scout. They always seem to launch it just at or after sunset, so I saw this impressive effect. In the welcome guide to newly arriving personnel, they call this effect the "Twilight Phenomenon." It is a quite impressive sight to behold.
