Hi all, This marvelous aurora watching night began with a nice observation of Starshine 3. For once, we had a favorable pass (phase angle) to the northeast and saw 3 flashes of mag. 1, 2 and 1 at about 00:26:27, 00:26:40 and 00:27:13 UTC. All were of about 3/4 second duration and easy to see. No binoculars are needed for the observation, just watch the general area of the sky where the satellite is.
