I'm a little confused here... As I watched them pass overhead of Hamilton, Ontario at 5:45 am Sept.18 I saw the dimmer of the two leading, which I ASSUMED was the shuttle, and the brighter of the two was following, which again I ASSUMED was the ISS because it appeared to me that the 'follower' had a bright lower section, and a dim upper section, as if it were the ISS standing upright. However, this post says the Shuttle was trailing, and Heavens-Above says the Shuttle was brighter. Was the Shuttle vertical... such that I saw a bright and a separate dim point of light ? Was the ISS actually the leader of the two ?? What did I actually see ... ?? What were the orientations of both objects ?? Thankyou.
