Here's a reply I got from Sky & Telescope. I also wrote to the
photographer to see what additional info we could get.
==============
Jay,
We tried to identify the satellites as well, but the photographer didn't
log the times of his exposures. He was testing some equipment and didn't
care much about the photo data. It was March, and from his location in
North Carolina, the nebula is not well placed for observing for very
long after dark, so that shortened the time "window," and we did have
the date, but we just didn't have enough time for check all the
satellites and find which ones they were. The date was March 7th and he
was viewing from Kelly, NC, about 30 miles northwest of Wilmington. He
thinks the satellite photo was taken around 8:55 PM EST (1:55 UT on the
8th) and the exposure was 40 minutes long.
If you get an answer, let me know the result of your efforts.
