TiPS

Given recent queries about the visibility of TiPS, I can confirm
that I have seen it tonight (20 September) at 20:30 UTC under the
extremely adverse conditions of the greater Paris area with its
enormous light pollution.

I was using a TeleVue Pronto refractor (d=3D70 mm, f=3D480 mm) with a
32 mm eypiece, giving a magnification of 15. I would not have found
it had I not programmed my VIXEN SkySensor 2000 PC, using the TLEs
of day 258.

TiPS was only very slightly off center from which I conclude that
the TLEs are fairly accurate.

I could not see the cable because of the relatively bright sky
background, just the two spheres. Their brightness changed a lot
during the pass, but the lower sphere was consistenly brighter than
the upper one.
