Hi everybody,
Theoretically, any drift of line of apsides about the orbit pole depends on
the
inclination of the orbit. This effect is caused by the oblateness of the
earth.
Again theoretically, the function describing the dependency of this
rotation
and the inclination has a root at 63.4 degrees. Thus, Molniya operators
intend
to keep the inclination CLOSE to this value to minimize correctional orbit
manouvres,
fuel consumption and operational costs.
