Aug. 12 Titan 4A Explosion Report

    Reuters is reporting that there was a momentary loss of
electrical power during the launch of the Titan 4A on
Aug. 12.  Battery power was lost for a fraction of a second
to the guidance electronics.  This caused the guidance system to
lose its 'sense' of direction and it tried to turn the rocket
towards the ground, which since it was going close to the
speed of sound, tore the rocket apart.  Story at
