I observed MIR on the morning of September 26 from it's entry into sunlight
at about 5:17 am local (CDT) down to a point about 1/3 of the FOV of my
binoculars above the horizon (10x50, 367 ft at 1000 yds) - about 2.3
degrees if I did the math right. No confirmation of time with a watch
however. I was amazed ...
