Perhaps you were viewing it prior to SRB seperation. With the main =
engines,
I thought the plumes were relatively invisible with the engines glowing =
white.

Hello fellow sat viewers-

Just a quick note of encouragement for those who would like to see STS
through a telescope.  I just tracked the liftoff *manually* with an 8" =
f/6.3
SCT... on Alt/Az tripod.
