After some days with clouds it was cristal clear this night.
In between the Iridium watch I observed the following sats:

slowly going up; didnot see the typical 'double' maxima
68- 11 A 97-09-20 04:09      LB                       almost S, mag 6
still S since last obs in jan '97
70- 25CD 97-09-19 20:34:39   LB   20.4 0.2  10  2.04  FF, mag 6->inv
slowly going up
81- 59 A 97-09-19 19:43:22   LB   32.2 0.2  20  1.61  FF,mag 6->inv
possible half period; didn't see the F and G object shortly afterwards
84- 56 B 97-09-19 18:38:11   LB   59.1 0.5   2 29.6   AA, mag 5->inv

both Ariane 3rd stage fragments are accelerating !!

nice flasher, going up


While watching the 97- 51 Iridium group 86- 61 A passed the fov.
A few minutes later MIR made an almost overhead pass from west to east at
mag 2.
