Walter Nissen observed Pageos DA about 82 seconds late
on Sep. 2, 09:24 UT. Thanks to his report, we now stand a much
better chance of finding this bright balloon piece !

If this delay is due only to ndot2/Bstar error, it would have
to be reduced by 22% to match the observation:

Pageos DA - 22% ndot2/Bstar
1 05994U 63014DA 95244.11793386 .02051835 00000-0 13637+0 0 8726
2 05994 83.8214 228.4778 2824035 142.5784 240.9915 9.65017068190561

Since this is Labor Day (not Labour Day, May 01!) we will not get
new elsets for tonight's observations. The difference from the
unmodified Friday elsets amounts to about 23 minutes, at tonight's
pass over Central US.

The morning passes are glorius now, with shadow entry at
about 44 N, very close to the 313 km perige, but it moves
further north, so this may be the last opportunity to see
it, at about magnitude zero. It is already very difficult
from southern US and southern Japan, but very good for
Europe, and the rest of the US.
Let's hope it survives this perigee dip !

Here are excerpts from a TrakStar (TS Kelso) prediction,
which is an excellent tool for studying visibility areas:
