Russell Eberst, Pierre Neirinck, Alberto Rango and Greg Roberts, contributed observations used to determine one or more of the following element sets. Greg Roberts' observations of 05042A on 2009 Oct 17 UTC, revealed a small reboost manoeuvre, since the previous observation on Oct 11 UTC, by Russell Eberst. I generated search elements, based on the assumption that the manoeuvre was a typical small reboost; however, when Greg attempted to observe the object near the predicted time on Oct 28 UTC, he did not see it. He recovered it on Oct 30 UTC, by means of a planar search. It was about 5 min early relative the search elements, which indicated that the manoeuvre had been much smaller than usual. Comparison of the pre and post manoeuvre elements, reveals that its main effect was to increase the inclination: USA 186 257 X 1004 km 1 28888U 05042A 09284.84112304 .00008733 00000-0 80252-4 0 06 2 28888 97.8625 345.7413 0533024 143.1377 220.7753 14.78621653 02 Arc 20091003.8-1011.85 WRMS resid 0.019 totl 0.010 xtrk USA 186 258 X 1005 km 1 28888U 05042A 09303.79265150 .00010316 00000-0 95571-4 0 00 2 28888 97.9317 4.4751 0533061 81.4944 284.6274 14.78471775 05 Arc 20091017.85-1030.85 WRMS resid 0.027 totl 0.022 xtrk Ted Molczan ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
