I observed STS 120 first pass from Thessaloniki Greece at 16.05 UTC (just 47 
minutes after launch). I saw the bright and rapid moving shuttle and at 
about 1 degree below it and slightly ahead was the orange glow of the fuel 
tank.
Very impressive sight. I want to ask after how many orbits is the fuel tank 
droping back to Earth.
