On its second pass over Europe (the first one right after launch was during sunlight hours) I could observe Discovery pass 1.5 deg above Jupiter at 17:33:33 UT, 23-OCT-07, just as predicted with the elements posted by NASA pre-launch. It showed a slightly reddish color due to its low elevation (just 8 deg).
