Watched Cosmos 1975 passing N-S and a dim bird crossed in my binoculars view traveling SE-N. It was at 8:11 ET when I first observed it at about 40 degrees ALT, looking 100 degrees (ESE), location coords 35.9676°N, 84.0251°W As I checked the time, I looked back up and it flared up to about 3.5 from about a mag 4.5, then back again about 1 minute later. -- Gregory S.
