TURKSAT 1B ( 23200 ) is no longer used, so it's orientation is not stable. The slow flare I observed the other day, was caused by the rotation of the satellite. Only observed one bright slow flare from it, during the hour I was keeping an eye on GOES 9 ( 23581 ) I plan observing TURKSAT 1B with the scope, so I can see how long it takes to give the slow flares, which are usually fainter, then that bright one I observed. I don't call them flashes, as the duration is to long. Kevin Be smarter than spam. See how smart SpamGuard is at giving junk email the boot with the All-new Yahoo!
