SeaSat (10967) was wonderful again last night, mag 2 and slowly rising from Cassiopeia in the NE to Scutum in the S, bright the whole way. GOES 9 seen flashing 5 times, used bright 3 for PPAS below. No sign of 23200 flaring next to it, I have yet to see a flaring geosat "on season". 17997 87 043A 8336 G 20071002005503180 17 25 2116296-091288 57 S 17997 87 043A 8336 G 20071002005521560 17 25 2135189-035556 28 S 23862 96 029D 8336 G 20071002010938290 17 25 1817682+024263 58 S 90077 07 757A 8336 G 20071002013809090 17 25 1816357-170780 28 S 90077 07 757A 8336 G 20071002013905060 17 25 1935221-122732 28 S 90077 07 757A 8336 G 20071002013917540 17 25 1952370-111585 18 S 90077 07 757A 8336 G 20071002014047430 17 25 2134599-033612 28 S PPAS: Designtn Date Time Obsr Durtn Acc Num Per Remarks 79- 57 A 07-10-02 00:57:24 BY 57.5 0.3 7 8.22 F'A 6->inv Note 1 89- 1 G 07-10-02 01:05:23 BY 33.5 0.5 14 2.39 AA 7->inv irr 98- 26 A 07-10-02 01:25:22 BY 15.3 Flare mag 4 Note 2 97- 47 B 07-10-02 01:31:47 BY S 8 95- 25 A 07-10-02 02:05:36 BY 267.2 0.3 2 134 FF 5->inv Note 3 Notes: 1) Timings only on flash this report, not on slow AA cycle. 2) Caught end of previous flare, plus one flash 10.25s before start of this flare. 3) First and last flashes were 8 mag and I must've missed another, used best bright 3.
