Should you have clear skies on Sunday (22-OCT-06) would anyone on a line between Liverpool and Glasgow look toward the North, 33 deg elevation to check whether Metop produces a flare from the center ASCAT antenna? The times are: Liverpool 20:39:12 UTC (this is at shadow egress; Liverpool actually is about 20 km east of the line but I think the effect should be visible) Glasgow 20:40:02 UTC (maximum flare). I'll try to post a few such predictions over the next few days for various parts of the world where I suspect potiential observers. Keep in mind that so far it's just a theory. Any observation reports (positive or negative) will be appreciated.
