    Hello everyone,

Thanks to the good accuracy of Ted's predicted elsets, I was able to observe
Shenzhou 6 and it rocket body in the morning of Oct. 12. I was not prepared to
make positional obs or to time the rocket's period, I woke up too close to the
time of the passes. The rocket was seen first at around 9:56 UTC coming out of
shadow. It was then at its brightest at around mag 2. It then slowly faded to
be invisible to the unaided eye (Obs was made at 1x), then brightened again to
mag 3. Its period was very roughly 1 minute.

I then spotted Shenzhou 6 about 2 minutes later on a higher trajectory. It was
steady and faint at around mag 3.5 or 4. It was difficult to see because of high
    cirrus clouds and early twilight.

I would say Ted's elsets were no more than 30 seconds off in time.
CONGRATULATIONS TED for your great work on predicting those elsets, no wonder
why they call you the guru ! :-)

Weather will now be awful for the days to come...

    Dan
