At last.................... a long clear spell last night gave me chance to catch the 7 bird Astra (19 east ) fleet moving into shadow. Skipping forward along the arc I then repositioned for the 5 Hotbirds at 13 east and watched them get extiguished one by one. Videos of both events are available , as indictaed below. Each frame is GPS time stamped and entry was accurate to about a second according to NOVA for Windows K3CCD Tools was used for capture and processing. If anyone has problems loading the .wmv files , please let me know. The wmvs show the run up to shadow entry , the gif animations are larger ( 640x480 ), covering the shadow entry only. http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/hbshorta.GIF http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/hb_shad.wmv http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/astrashad.wmv http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/astrasht.GIF John Easting: -3:05:32 Northing: 53:23:15 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
