I would suggest that Mr Oberg's first port of call might be the Kettering Group. I haven't got any of their data immediately to hand, but I do recall that they were very active around the time of the Apollo missions and that they did a lot of pioneering work. Some of their published observations were many years ahead of western government agencies and they did much to bring space exploration to the hands of the ordinary citizen without any help from the governments.
