Tonight 2002-10-25 at 17:30:24 UT while walking from the bus to Malma I happened to see a fading flare (+3 to inv) leaving the "square" of Hercules, moving in dir = 80 (rising slightly, to the N). The position (RA 16:45 +36) and time agree well with Iridium 73 ? (98-32C, #25344), but neither it, nor any other Iridium, is predicted to flare at that position (az 270, el 43) for the next few days (majority is SB, 307/06) /Björn -- bjorn.gimle@tietotech.se (office) -- -- b_gimle@algonet.se (home) http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle -- -- COSPAR 5919, MALMA, 59.2576 N, 18.6172 E, 23 m -- -- COSPAR 5918, HAMMARBY, 59.2985 N, 18.1045 E, 44 m -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
