Hi all. Thanks to Ed Cannon for pointing out that it was once again the season for flaring geos. Last evenings low clouds and a marine layer made observation conditions less than optimal, but I wanted to see if I could find a few of these before the season had passed. Between 05:50 and 05:53 UTC I was able to see Galaxy 4R (00020A, 26298) brighten to mag 6. Slightly to the west, I also found what I believe to have been DBS 2 (94047A, 23192) and DBS 3 (95029A, 23598) between 05:54 and 05:57 UTC. The DBS satellites were difficult targets for 10x50s, and were around mag 7. Best and clear, dark skies.
