Responsibilities The research involves image collection from an optical-CCD sensor, data reduction and analysis of the images, and the overall software management of the automated tracking and analysis system. The specific research involves using a CCD camera attached to a fixed optical telescope to track satellites using a time delay integration (TDI) mode to collect the images. These images would be compared to images collected using a CCD camera on a tracking optical telescope presently in place, Would be primarily responsible for the image processing of the TDI images, but would also be expected to assist with the overall support of the software systems side of the project.
